Bilingual Legal Intake Specialist
Melville, NY · Full-time, Mon–Fri 9–5 · On-site · $50,000–$65,000 a year
We need a bilingual (English and Spanish) Legal Intake Specialist for our Melville office. For a lot of our clients, this person is the first one they talk to after an accident, and often the one they keep calling throughout their case.
What the job involves
- Answering new inquiries quickly, screening potential cases, and setting up consultations with our attorneys
- Getting new clients signed and keeping them updated while their case moves forward
- Keeping our CRM organized so no lead or client falls through the cracks
- Helping with medical appointments, records requests, scheduling, and insurance paperwork
- Talking with clients in both English and Spanish
- Interpreting for our attorneys in the office every day (client meetings, calls, case updates) and translating letters and forms
- Over time, representing the firm at community events and local groups
- Working with our attorneys, office manager, and marketing team to make intake run better
What you need
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Law firm experience (at least a year)
- Experience in intake, client relations, or another job where you talk to people all day
- Comfort juggling several conversations and deadlines at once
- Some experience with a CRM or lead management system
Nice to have
- Portuguese is a plus
- Personal injury experience
- Lawmatics or another legal CRM
- Familiarity with medical records and insurance claims
- A track record of turning inquiries into signed clients
