Mehmet Gokce
Attorney
Mehmet Gokce graduated from Cornell University as an undergraduate and then from Columbia Law School. He spent his first few years after law school at the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, where he handled most of the county’s felony gun and violent gang cases. Following his stint at the DA’s office, he has worked exclusively in personal injury law, splitting his time between working for the insurance carriers as well as for plaintiffs’ firms, including one of the country’s most recognizable plaintiffs’ personal injury law firms. He has successfully taken cases to verdict as both a prosecutor and a personal injury lawyer, never having lost a jury verdict as either a prosecutor or a civil attorney.
As defense counsel working with the insurance carriers for several years, he learned the ins and outs of the insurance industry as it relates to personal injury matters. He uses the rare insight he gained from his time with the insurance industry to effectively prosecute auto accident, premises, and construction accident cases on behalf of his personal injury clients. Mr. Gokce speaks three languages proficiently, including Spanish and Turkish. He is admitted to practice in New York State as well as the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
